To become the Nordic leader in carbon-negative energy, developing a Nordic network of modern biochar and renewable energy plants that combine industrial efficiency with measurable climate results.
Our objectives
Nordic BioPower’s goal is to replace fossil energy in industry by building a circular bioeconomy based on refining local biofuels. The company produces biochar, pellets and wood chips, and develops integrated facilities where energy, raw materials and by-products are efficiently utilised within the same production unit.
Aligned with Europe’s ambition to cut greenhouse-gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030 and achieve climate neutrality by 2050, we are focused on enabling the transition of industry toward a net-zero future through scalable, carbon-negative energy solutions.
Nordic BioPower aims to further enhance the synergies between biochar and pellet production, where both processes share energy and material flows. The long-term goal is for all future plants to be combined facilities producing both pellets and biochar – delivering higher resource efficiency, reduced climate impact and stronger profitability.
